1997: Honorary Consultant and Adviser to the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to prepare a vision for the Chamber for the next century. March 1998 – December 1999: Senior Vice President of the Sri Sathya Sai Society of Singapore. The Society has a number of projects including a free specialist clinic for the poor. [I conducted a non-denominational meditation class on Tuesdays for the Society at its Centre.] October 2004 – August 2005: Member of the High Power Committee to Study and report on Rationalization of Staffing in AP Universities. July 2006 - April 2007: Member of the Expert Group on Equitable Development for the Eleventh Five Year Plan constituted by the Planning Commission, Government of India. Since December 2007: Member of the High Power Committee on the Status of Higher Education in AP. |
