1973-78: Joint Editor, Malayan Economic Review.(since renamed as Singapore Economic Review), an internationally refereed journal issued jointly by the Economic Society of Singapore and the Department of Economics of the then University of Singapore.

1978: Contributor of a weekly column on current economic affairs to Sin Chow Jit Pow,a Singapore daily newspaper in Chinese.

1987-2000: Occasionally contributed articles to the Economic Times (India), The Hindu (India), Times of India, and Straits Times (Singapore).

2001 -2004: Several articles in Financial Express (India)

2003-2004: Weekly Econosphere in VIJAY TIMES, Bangalore

September 2004-July 2008: Contributed a fortnightly column [Public Policy Note] in the Hindu Business Line
